Editorial Roles and Responsibilities

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief provides overall academic and strategic leadership for IJCSEAR and is responsible for maintaining the journal’s scholarly quality, integrity, and international reputation. The Editor-in-Chief oversees editorial policies, ensures adherence to publication ethics, makes final decisions on manuscript acceptance or rejection, appoints editorial board members, and guides the journal’s long-term development in accordance with international publishing standards.

Managing Editor

The Managing Editor coordinates the daily operations of the journal and supports the Editor-in-Chief in implementing editorial policies. Responsibilities include managing manuscript workflows, coordinating communication among authors, reviewers, and editors, monitoring publication schedules, ensuring timely processing of submissions, and maintaining accurate editorial records.

Associate Editors

Associate Editors manage manuscripts within their areas of expertise and ensure an efficient and rigorous peer-review process. They select appropriate reviewers, evaluate reviewer reports, provide editorial recommendations, and advise the Editor-in-Chief regarding manuscript decisions. Associate Editors contribute to maintaining the scientific quality and disciplinary coverage of the journal.

Section Editors

Section Editors oversee specific subject areas within the journal’s scope, such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Networks, and Emerging Technologies. They manage submissions in their assigned fields, recommend expert reviewers, and ensure that published articles meet disciplinary standards.

Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board Members are recognized experts who contribute to the academic direction and quality assurance of the journal. Their responsibilities include reviewing manuscripts, recommending qualified reviewers, promoting the journal within the research community, advising on editorial policies, and supporting the advancement of the journal’s scope and reputation.

Reviewers / Peer Review Panel

The peer-review panel consists of subject experts who critically evaluate submitted manuscripts for originality, technical quality, methodological rigor, significance, and ethical compliance. Reviewers provide constructive feedback to authors and confidential recommendations to editors to support informed publication decisions.

Advisory Board Members

Advisory Board Members provide strategic guidance regarding the journal’s vision, international collaboration, indexing strategies, research trends, and overall development. They advise the editorial team on improving journal quality, visibility, and global academic impact.

Technical Editor / Production Editor

The Technical or Production Editor manages the final preparation of accepted manuscripts, including formatting, proofreading, metadata verification, DOI assignment coordination, website updates, and ensuring consistency with journal publishing standards.

Copy Editor / Language Editor

The Copy Editor reviews accepted manuscripts for grammar, clarity, formatting consistency, and adherence to journal style guidelines while preserving the authors’ scientific meaning and technical accuracy.

Ethics and Research Integrity Editor

The Ethics and Research Integrity Editor monitors compliance with publication ethics, plagiarism policies, conflict-of-interest declarations, authorship standards, research misconduct procedures, and guidelines recommended by organizations such as COPE.

Digital Content and Web Editor

The Digital Content and Web Editor manages the journal website, online content presentation, article metadata, indexing information, announcements, and digital communication activities to enhance accessibility and visibility.

International Editorial Coordinators

International Editorial Coordinators support global outreach, encourage submissions from diverse geographical regions, facilitate collaboration with researchers worldwide, and enhance the international presence of IJCSEAR.
