The International Journal of Computer Science and Engineering Archives (IJCSEAR) strictly follows the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan Plagiarism Policy and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical research practices. The journal considers plagiarism a serious violation of research ethics and does not accept manuscripts containing copied, improperly reused, or unacknowledged material from previously published or unpublished sources.

All submitted manuscripts must represent the authors’ original research contributions. Authors are required to properly acknowledge all sources, including text, ideas, methodologies, datasets, figures, tables, software, and other intellectual contributions through appropriate citations and references.

Plagiarism Detection and Screening

All manuscripts submitted to IJCSEAR undergo mandatory plagiarism screening before the peer-review process using recognized similarity detection software such as Turnitin or equivalent tools. The plagiarism/similarity report is reviewed by the editorial team and relevant subject experts to determine whether the detected similarities represent acceptable scholarly practices or unethical duplication.

The similarity index is considered an important screening indicator; however, the final decision is based on expert evaluation of the nature, location, and context of matched content. Similarity arising from properly cited references, standard technical terminology, commonly used expressions, and necessary methodological descriptions may be evaluated differently from unattributed copied material.

Similarity Index Requirement

In accordance with HEC Pakistan guidelines, manuscripts submitted to IJCSEAR should generally maintain a similarity index within the acceptable limit prescribed by HEC. A similarity index of 19% or above is considered an indication requiring careful examination by the editorial team and subject experts. Manuscripts exceeding acceptable similarity levels may be returned to authors for revision or rejected depending on the severity of overlap and the nature of the detected content.

Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to IJCSEAR must:

• Ensure that submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
• Provide accurate citations for all sources used.
• Avoid duplicate submission and redundant publication.
• Obtain permission for copyrighted material where required.
• Disclose any previous publications or related manuscripts.
• Accept responsibility for the authenticity and originality of their research.
